Weekend weather looks great!. If you're looking for a nice calm day to try paddling, it looks like we've got just your thing coming up.

Safety first! All rentals are weather dependant. We reserve the right to cancel or postpone if safety is a concern. Renters must be 16+ years, or accompanied by an adult. And sorry to be the party pooper, but must be sober too.

Evenings on calm days – Yoga on the boards. It feels so zen to be floating while doing yoga. Rachel Furness will guide you through gentle Hatha moves while working on balance and enjoying the lake. Get on our yoga email list and let's chat when the lake is peaceful. (1hr, $40 with board rental, $20 BYOBoard)
Weekends on calm days – Paddle to the Lighthouse! We know you want to. For intermediate paddlers, we'll meet at Bertie Boat Club and make our way on the water to the Pt. Abino Lighthouse. We'll stop to take pictures, walk around where we can, have a little snack and then head back again. Let us know you're interested and then we'll contact you when the weather's right. (~2.5hrs, $80 with board rental, $30 BYOBoard)
Wavy days – Learn to surf and SUP surf for beginners. Often our lake is tricky to paddle, but there's even more fun to be had. Baby waves and big boards make it easier for first timers learning to surf or SUP surf. We're not called Pop Up Paddle for nothin'. Send us an email and we'll go when the wave gods are smiling. (1hr, $60 with board rental)
First timer?
We’ll help you get started. We want you to have a great experience on the water. We’ll spend the first 5 minutes of your reservation making sure you are safe, comfortable and know how to paddle. If you want a little more guidance, we can arrange lessons. Our guided tours at Sunset are also great for beginners as they will be small groups. The water is usually more calm then and we'll be there to help. Don’t worry, be happy.
